Plastic Round Up
Bring your clean 2, 4, and 5 plastics to Coos Head Food Co-op for our monthly Plastic Round Up event! From 5-7 pm, bring your plastics to the loading dock in the alley behind the store. For plastics to be accepted, they must be a 2, 4, or 5, and they must be perfectly clean— no dust, dirt, oil, mold, food remnants, etc. Sorting your plastics ahead of time by number also helps to speed up the process. We’ll see you there!

Community Cooking with the Co+op
This month, Stephanie Polizzi, a registered Dietician Nutritionist from OSU Extension, teaches us how to make a Kale & Beet Salad and a Beet Soup! You can register for this Zoom cooking class on the Coos Bay Public Library’s website: https://www.coosbaylibrary.org/event/community-cooking-co-op-12313
Each month ten $25 ingredient vouchers are available one week before the class. They are first-come first-serve and can be picked up at the register at Coos Head Food Co-op.

Annual Cider Press
We’ll provide the presses, you bring the apples and containers! From 11am - 2pm, we’ll have multiple presses set up for use in our side alley. Bring your apples, and go home with some fresh pressed cider!
Community Cooking with the Co-op
In partnership with the Coos Bay Public Library, we host Community Cooking on the 4th Thursday of each month via Zoom at 5:30pm. Go to the Coos Bay Public Library’s Website to register for this event, and to receive recipe details.
This month Stephanie Polizzi teaches us how to curry quinoa. $25 free ingredient vouchers are available one week before the class each month.

At Plastic Round Up, we collect clean plastics marked as 2’s, 4’s, 5’s, and 6’s. Bring them to loading down in the alley behind the store for drop off. All plastics must be perfectly clean!
